Museum Picture Hunt Discover the museum in a new way! Hunt for items shown in pictures scattered throughout the museum and locate hidden letter clues on red backgrounds. This engaging activity is perfect for children aged 6 to 10.

ROCKET LAUNCHER - Free Kids Craft

16 – 19 SEPTEMBER 2024
Blast Off! Unleash your creativity and build your very own rocket launcher using a variety of craft materials. Watch your rockets soar into outer space! While you’re here, be sure to check out the ‘Wings Over Redlands’ aeroplane display and see how many model planes you can spot. Please note: A small entry fee applies for all adult visitors to the Museum. Supervision is required. This activity is suitable for children from preschool to early primary school.

Get your next adventure started !! The 2024 Cleveland Caravan, Camping Expo will feature Caravans, Camper Trailers, Boating, Vehicles, 4×4 and Camping Accessories and fun for the whole family. Redland Museum will be opening it’s doors to all festival patrons free of charge to explore the Museum and sell food & drinks including our delicious famous Devonshire tea’s.

For a fun-filled windsock craft activity! Create your very own colourful windsock with arts and crafts, then watch it flutter outside to see which way the wind is blowing—just like the windmills that once adorned the Redlands’ farms. While you’re here, don’t miss the chance to visit the Museum’s windmill in our Agriculture display. Can you guess what material the Halladay Standard windmill was made from? Please note: A small entry fee applies for all adult visitors to the Museum. Supervision is required. This activity is suitable for children from preschool to early primary school.

Head to the Redland Museum for a fun-filled day packed with entertainment and special events. Enjoy thrilling performances by Theatre Redlands, including “The Gun Coachman,” & marvel at the Regency dancers in their stunning period costumes and immerse yourself in 19th-century charm.

Propping It Up

Celebrating Seniors Month

18 – 27 October 2024
From the chance remark “Wouldn’t it be interesting to write a play about a prop?” came the concept of Propping It Up, a stage production consisting of three vignettes, each featuring a separate prop borrowed from the extensive Redland Museum collection. A gentleman’s valet, a telephone switchboard and a Waler horse – each one has its story. Written and Produced by Jan Nary – Theatre Redlands.
