‘Mangroves of Moreton Bay’and retrospective works
by Clare Loveband
Clare’s early days of schooling were set among the gum trees and birds at Lilli Pilli, near Port Hacking River in Sydney. When she started working, she loved escaping at the weekends to the Pittwater, the Blue Mountains and the Royal National Park with the Sydney Bushwalking Club. This close connection with nature continued when Clare moved to Glen Innes in Northern NSW and lived on a rural property. This setting inspired Clare to complete a Fine Arts Certificate with Tanya Robertson-Cunningham and Rod Talor (Art History). Later her family moved to Brisbane and later to the Redlands.
