David Lamont introduction to his exhibition:-
This is an Exhibition of my abilities around “The Four P’s” – Pastel, Paint, Pen & Pencil. I consider it to be an honour to secure a great gallery space, being at our own Redland Museum. A small collection is displayed of subjects drawn on site at the Museum, namely Jib Crane components, the Blacksmith’s Forge and a drawing of one of two exhibits of the ‘German Wagon’. I have chosen a wide variety of my work to add interest to my exhibition. They reveal my joy in simply drawing with pencil and pen. Being a past graphics employee of the Melbourne Age newspaper gave me a unique opportunity to show my skill with the pen, and my love of architecture. Some pastel works relate to my early years growing up in the England, and my love of London and my English heritage.
Redland Museum acknowledges the Quandamooka People, the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters where we work.
We acknowledge their Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in our Community.
