Show 'n' Tell Farming

John Kunde, from Birkdale farming stock, will conduct a walk through the Redland Museum’s agricultural implements and equipment. He’ll show what they were for and how they worked. John will tell us about the concept of “horsepower” as it applies to farming – from hand tools used by convicts and South Sea Islander workers to horses, steam engines and tractors. He has a plethora of first-hand stories to tell about living and growing up on the families’ Birkdale farms.
