Education

School children have been welcome at Redland Museum for over thirty years. Redland Museum is very proud of its record of education programs and we invite teachers to find out more about what the Museum has to offer students.

In 1996 the Museum commissioned the creation of an education kit designed to link the Museum’s collections and exhibitions with the Queensland Department of Education’s curriculum requirements. The general program (pdf) has been very successful and we are pleased to be able to offer access to this program over the internet.

As a way of adding value to your visit, please note the Events program that outlines the exhibitions showing in our temporary space over the coming year. Some of these exhibitions may be of specific interest to teachers and students and we would be delighted to have groups visit these very special events.

All school visits to Redland Museum must be booked in advance (Bookings; Contact Details). Volunteer guides are available to assist in the interpretation of collections and exhibitions. Teachers are invited to preview the Museum free of charge prior to any booked visit. For any further information on Redland Museum and the programs that we offer please do not hesitate to contact the Operations Manager (Contact Details).
